5 DIY Kitchen Organization Hacks You Must Know
As we all know, the most crowded room in your home is the kitchen. Hence, you may spend the most time organizing it. If you are on a tight budget but want to organize your kitchen, do not worry. You can try to repurpose some of your unused items. Here are a few DIY kitchen organization hacks you need to know for a decluttered kitchen space.
DIY a spice rack
Spice bottles are the most complicated to fit and hard to find. If your spice bottles are scattered all over the kitchen, making it hard to find and look shabby. Make a spice rack that can help your kitchen look neat and organized. Start with measuring your bottles with the measuring tape. Make a ‘book stand’ shape with wooden planks, and don’t forget to use the bottle measurements to make sure your bottles fit in the rack. Leave a small box-shaped space in which you can keep your bottles. With the help of this spice rack, you can make sure all your spice bottles are in the same place, making them easy to find if and when you need them.
DIY a pan holder
Pans are one of the bulkiest vessels. They occupy the most space in the kitchen drawers and cupboards. Instead of keeping them inside, you can utilize the outer area of the kitchen cupboard. Attach hooks or holders to the side of the kitchen cupboards with screws, and it’s ready to be used. Use the sides of the furniture and make use of the wasted space.
DIY wall shelf
Make use of an empty wall by making a wall shelf. If you are on a tight budget and can’t afford a high-class kitchen shelf, that’s not a problem. You can make a simple glass shelf with a sturdy piece of glass. Take three rectangular-shaped glasses and place them on the wall (two on top and one in the middle-down of the wall) with the help of the glass holders and screws. Make sure you have inserted and secured the shelf. Add attractive cups, wine glasses, or fancy bowls to this shelf, making it look like an open showcase. You can use this wall shelf to store all your expensive and beautiful pieces, giving your kitchen an elegant look.
DIY under sink storage trays
Use the empty space under the kitchen sink by adding some storage trays. Use metal trays with a basket shape to help you store more things without dropping them. Fix the metal trays on the sink door with nails or screws, and it is ready to be used as a great storage space.
DIY magnetized jar rack
You mostly have not even thought of using the space below your cabinets. You can use a magnetic adhesive sheet below the cabinet. Take the measurement of the Jar’s lid and cut the sheet appropriately. Stick it underneath the cabinet, and it’s ready to be used as the lid usually is made of metal. It will stick to the magnet right away. Make sure to fill the jars with light things to avoid them falling. As the magnet sheet can’t carry heavy weights, you may drop your Jar if it’s too heavy for the magnet to handle.
